While I had the wheels off for a tire rotation, I noticed that the bump stops were worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I ordered <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2xK8IgT\" class=\"aioseop-link\">these:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2xK8IgT\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5366\" width=\"224\" height=\"220\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop.jpg 897w, http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop-300x295.jpg 300w, http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop-768x754.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>I began by lifting the Jeep and removing the wheels.  At first, I thought I would have to remove the spring but I was able to work through the coils. The old bumps stops were n pretty bad shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"293\" height=\"220\" src=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5367\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"396\" height=\"528\" src=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5368\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop6.jpg 396w, http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop6-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I drove a screwdriver into the old bump stop and pryed it out.  I then squeezed it out between the coils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"396\" height=\"528\" src=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5369\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop3.jpg 396w, http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop3-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I then coated the end of the new bump stop with tire mounting lube.  I slipped it between the coils and easily pressed it into place.  On some poly bump stops, I have had to line them up and then use the weight of the Jeep to press them in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"396\" height=\"528\" src=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5370\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop4.jpg 396w, http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop4-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"396\" height=\"528\" src=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5371\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop2.jpg 396w, http:\/\/mikestrawbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bumpstop2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the new bump stops were pressed into place, I reinstalled the wheels.
